This is the kind of down-home casserole that makes everyone at a potluck come running, begging for the recipe. Here it is, and it couldn't be simpler.
Ingredients:
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1 10-ounce package frozen corn, thawed
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 cup canned french-fried onions
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 7-inch square baking pan or casserole dish. Spread the cream cheese evenly on the bottom of the pan. Top with corn, pressing the corn into the cheese. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spread the onions evenly over the top. Bake for 30 minutes.
