We love sausage in every form, including franks 'n beans. We put some crispy crumbs on top to make these extra special.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 pound bratwurst, cut into fat slices
2 16-ounce cans baked beans
1⁄2 cup bread crumbs
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400°F. In a 4-quart ovenproof pot or Dutch oven, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the onion; saute for 7 to 10 minutes or until golden. Add bratwurst; saute for 5 to 7 minutes or until brown.
Add baked beans and bring to a simmer. Top with the bread crumbs. Bake, uncovered, about 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
