First things first. Thank you Evan for all the great design work for our new site. Evan stars in our home movie, which he is opposed to but …tough and me walking into his office yelling “I have a great idea!” has been his nightmare for the last month. Thank you Evan, great job.
Thank you to Phil and Lisa for all the technical stuff that I would not even begin to understand but I do know they take ideas and make it show up on a screen. Without y’all there is no deenbros.com so thank you, thank you, and thank you.
It was a super busy week trying to get everything hammered out especially with Bobby on the cruise and our new magazine deadline is also today.
Oh yeah, the big news.
“The Deen Bros. Good Cooking” hits the shelves in March!
We are so excited to announce our partnership with Hoffman Media in Birmingham Alabama. Thank y’all so much for helping make a dream come true for Bobby and I. We are going to have five special issues out this year and the proofs for the first issue came last week. We are so blessed to have been able to travel and see and do things we never even dreamed about but when I saw “Editors-in-chief Jamie and Bobby Deen” on the title page it stopped me dead in my tracks. That was one of those moments I will never forget. Wow. I say that ten times a day. Just wow. We hope y’all enjoy the magazine and I know you will love the recipes, look for it on newsstands everywhere in March. Wow.
Follow Productions is in Savannah for the next two weeks filming” Best Dishes” at mom’s house which Bobby and I are doing a bunch of those and we have a big Chef’s Tour that starts in a few weeks and the television show Chef’s VS. City will be here in two weeks to shoot and……Whew!
I think that’s enough for now.
Take some time and poke around all the new stuff and tell me what you think…I love it.

HI Jamie!! The site looks great! I can’t wait to make some of your recipes for our Superbowl Party. I just wanted to let you know that I believe I found a typo in the Deep Fried Pickle with Honey Mustard Recipe. I think you are supposed to have 1/2 cup FLOUR, but instead it has
Bour. Is this an ingredient I am unaware of or is it a typo? It is also spelled like that in the directions, so I am not sure. If it is not, can you please tell me what that ingredient is??? Thanks and keep the great recipes coming!!!

Michelle, yes, it was a typo. I apologize. We loaded over 200 recipes in the database the last few days, and copy and paste sometimes brings over weird characters. Thanks for the catch!

Hey Lisa. No worries about the typo. I have done/ written a cookbook and the typos occured in mine as well. Sometimes you just don’t see them after looking at it so many times!
I found another if you want it, let me know! The recipes are terrific-I keeping finding new ones to make for dinner tonight!

Can’t wait for the new magazine and will subscribe even without seeing it first. If it’s from you guys, it’s got to be GREAT.
Read on twitter from Brandon that, as he put it, people in your party were dropping like flies and on to the hospital. Was it the food? What happened. Hope Paula wasn’t sick. She deserves the vacation and some rest.

Wow the new site looks wonderful. You guys always do such good work. The new magazine and shows are just icing on the cake. I can’t wait to explore more. Looks like you have been a very busy boy while everyone else has been cruising. Just wondering if we could have a Savannah happenings update from time to time, just to let us know what is going on to better plan a trip. Lisa, I know you gave me info on the old Paula site that helped to plan before. It was great. We are trying to get another trip planned for early April. Any info would be great. The new site looks great—am enjoying going through the different sections. Really like the Flickr photo section. Loved the NM scenery shots; and, I am actually talking about the landscapes, not that the other scenery isn’t nice too. LOL! I am really looking forward to the pics from your Road Tasted visit to Portland, Maine out in my corner of the world. Your only visit to New England??

This site is fantastic! I just wanted to let you both know that I’ve been using the “Ya’ll Come Eat” and “Take It Easy” cookbooks for a couple of months now and they are lifesavers! This is Melisa from Ohio! Just wanted to tell yeah I like the new website and the podcasts. Oh, Where I live in Ohio I have 8 inches of snow on the ground now and expecting around 11 inches more of snow tonight and on Tuesday. Plus blowing and drifting! So well have a total of 19 inches.

It was so wonderful meeting Bobby and Paula at the grand opening of the Paula Deen Buffet at Horseshoe Southern Indiana! Bobby, you are adorable! It was so nice that you all took the time to come around to the tables and take pics with everyone. I blew up both pics with Paula and Bobby and hung them in my kitchen! I just noticed the Deen Bros have a magazine, so I will be subscribing! We are going back to the buffet on Saturday and I can’t wait! What a treat to have so close to the Louisville area!
