Don’t expect the contest results….

there was a serious conversation about the ending remaining a secret. Serious conversation. So I ain't talking......about the ending anyway.
I was so anxious about doing this show. I had seen on an earlier episode people eating bugs and huge scoops of ice cream as fast as possible and crazy running through cities, on and on.
We started our day at Bethesda Home for Boys, which y'all know is on my "Do Good Things" list as well as where mom and I chose to have our wedding ceremonies so we love Bethesda. It was a great place to start where I have so many great memories and friends that work at the school.
Chris and Aaron were fantastic to work with and within a few minutes we were all laughing and having a great time. It goes back to the birds of a feather flock together, we are all restaurant guys that are lucky enough to have the chance to do television and like to have fun and appreciate the opportunity.
Our first stop was a place I have been often and really enjoy, so far so good. We figure out the challenge and not so good. We had to do something we had never seen done, much less done ourselves and I thought "Oh boy, here we go".
The next stop was a perfect example of what I didn't want to happen. That's two "not goods" if you are keeping count at home.
As is usually the case, the third time was the charm. Other than being a nightmare but still, overall Bobby and I did well and had begun to settle into the rhythm of the competition. Two "goods, two "not goods".
The fourth stop was in our wheelhouse. It could not have gone better. A solid "good".
The fifth and final challenge was an even match up and after an initial serious head scratching session, we did very well. "Good".
Of course it was going to come down to a foot race. Me, forty two years old, in a flat out foot race for at least a quarter of a mile....wearing jeans. While I am not an Olympic athlete I can hold my own in softball, golf, bike riding, swimming, basketball etc. etc. but a footrace has been long passed my interest.
So that's all I can say.
The show should air in a month or so and after that I will get down into the messy, very messy, details.

You have captured our interest and can’t wait for the show to air!!! I saw the show that was done in San Francisco and can tell that it’s not for the faint of heart. I’m sure you guys did well and will enjoy for a long time the film of you running.

Hey Jamie & Bobby, first off, I have to give a big kiss and hug to poor Champ. He’s looks so depressed. I, too, have broken two toes at once and it ain’t pretty. I remember taking a lot of Advil, although I didn’t have to wear “the collar”!!! Hope you give him “something” as he can’t tell you that it aches.
Chefs vs. City. Should be interesting. Really like that show. Wondered why it went off the air. They sure do crazy things and sometimes I can’t watch as they try to “gag” down a bowl of hot chili or bugs or whatever. Give us a “headsup” when it’s coming on. I bet that on the final run to the finish line, sorry about this, Jamie, but I bet Bobby beats you!!!!!
Haven’t listened to the podcast yet but will today. Have been really busy at work. One thing - I also go to your mom’s website and on the forum to read what’s going on with everyone and the recipes, etc. Sometimes I add my “two cents” and other times not. Anyway, I can’t seem to access the forum at all. What’s up??? Is it because the site is being changed??
A little chilly here in Florida. In fact, I’m sick of it. Supposed to warm up in the 70’s this weekend and perhaps next week. That’s fine with me.

Can’t wait to see the show. I have always enjoyed watching Chef’s vs City and this one will be so much more interesting with you two in it plus seeing familiar places in Savannah (my favorite city).

Please let us know what the exact date it will air so we all will not miss it. I know you had fun doing all of it though. So how is Champ doing??? Better I hope. My Scottish Terrier Samson has an infection in the exact same paw and had a procedure & biopsy done on it today. We get the results tomorrow & I sure hope it’s nothing serious. He is so sad and pitiful right now. He and Champ are about the same size and Samson is one big baby. I bet Champ is the same way. Anyway, have a great weekend. Tell Bobby HEY for me…Thanks

We are so sorry that the Celebrity Chefs Tour appearances in February and March had to be canceled and, if you bought tickets or were planning to go, we apologize. There were a number of troubling issues with the tour and we found it necessary to cancel rather than invite our fans to attend a show that might disappoint them. A new plan and schedule are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. We will post details as soon as we have them. Thank you for your patience.
As for refunds, you need to contact Ticketmaster or wherever you purchased them to get your full refund.

First, happy birthday to you, Bobby…find some time to celebrate..and if you guys ever venture to Michigan, I have a great local brewery with awesome homemade pizza for you to try.
Second, I love tne Chefs vs. City..it gives insight and points of interest, for a new place to visit. Can’t wait to see it..
Third..softball!!! Have you guys done charity games or tournaments? I have played for 27 years, even college, and love to coach kids too (20 yrs now). So much money can be raised witn tournaments…best of luck to you all. And I hope you both are the victors this weekend, with the show!!
