Hey y’all,

So here’s the deal with the red rubber bracelets.

I decided that we would start a movement. If you take one of these red bracelets, then that means that you promise to do good things, to have malice towards none, and to pay it forward. If you can do good things for other people, it’ll keep going on and on, and maybe- just maybe- we can change the world.

Send one dollar to me at the address below and I will send you out a bracelet. Now every dollar is going straight to our local food bank here in Savannah at America’s Second Harvest. I’m not making any money off of this, it’s just something that I want to do to help give back. We’ll have some in our store in Savannah too, but the best way is to just drop me a line with $1. You can send a dollar bill, four quarters, 10 dimes or 20 nickels, or 100 pennies. It doesn’t matter to me, it’s going to straight to our food back and I myself will turn around and send you one of our red rubber bracelets- I’ve got 1,000 to start so they’re limited.

One side says, “Malice Toward None,” and the other side says, “Do Good Things.” So this is a movement that you can be a part of, and I really hope that this can be the start of some really good things.

I have had this blog going for the last few years and really enjoy keeping everybody in the loop of what’s going on in and around our family. It’s also a great place to spread the word on different non- profit events we have going on.

Jamie checks back in after wrapping up Beringer’s Great Steak Challenge and the Epcot Food and Wine Festival, and gets ready for the Georgia-Florida football game!

We had a great time time up at the Food and Wine Festival this weekend in NY and also did some good work at home in Savannah….
